Printing technology and color services for gravure and flexo lines.
Equipment and color services at chemlinkai exist to close the loop between chemistry and the press: presses configured for water-based drying, color matching that starts from spectral measurement, and proofing that tests the ink before production. Everything here is capability — scope, configuration and pricing are confirmed per project.
Why equipment and color belong with chemistry
A water-based system performs only as well as the machine that applies and dries it. That is why presses, color measurement and proofing are treated as part of the formulation loop: results from the lab bench must transfer to your press geometry, drying capacity and color workflow.
We do not publish an off-the-shelf equipment price list or model parameters. Press configuration, retrofits and color-management setups are specified against your line and product mix, then confirmed with drawings and a scope document before anything is quoted.
- Gravure press lines and retrofits configured for water-based ink drying
- Color workflow design from measurement to production tolerances
- Proofing and pilot trials on your substrate before production
- Coordination with qualified partners for cylinders and instrumentation
Six capabilities, scoped per project
Each capability is delivered as part of a converting project — not as a standalone catalog item with published parameters.
Gravure printing machines
Press lines configured for water-based ink transfer and drying on paper, film and packaging substrates.
Ask about a pressIntelligent color matching
Recipe prediction from your reference, driven by spectral data and the pigment platform behind our inks.
Ask about color matchingSpectrophotometer & color QA
Spectral measurement across the workflow — pigment intake, lab drawdowns and production batches — with protocols agreed to your quality team.
Ask about color QAEngraved cylinder coordination
Cell geometry specified for water-based ink delivery and drying; engraving executed by qualified partner shops to our specification.
Ask about cylindersLab proofing & pilot trials
Proofing on your substrate under agreed conditions before production, so ink behavior is known ahead of the press.
Ask about proofingDigital printing routes
Inkjet primers and digital workflow support for decor paper and short-run work, evaluated with your line and substrate.

Printing technology questions
Do you sell complete gravure printing machines?
Presses and retrofits are provided as part of water-based converting projects, configured for your substrate mix and drying requirement. Models and configurations are confirmed per project — there is no published off-the-shelf list.
How does your color matching service work?
Your reference is measured with a spectrophotometer, the recipe is predicted against our pigment and resin platform, and drawdowns are checked against an agreed tolerance before the formulation goes to the press. The same measurement discipline then supports production batches.
Why is a spectrophotometer important for water-based inks?
Water-based inks shift appearance with coat weight, substrate and drying. Spectral measurement gives an objective target across lab, proof and production, so a color matched in the lab can be reproduced on the line instead of adjusted by eye.
Do you engrave cylinders in-house?
Cylinder engraving is executed by qualified partner shops. We specify the cell geometry for water-based transfer and drying and coordinate the interface with our ink systems — the specification, not the engraving machine, is where the chemistry meets the cylinder.
Describe the line and the product mix you run.
Substrates, processes, current bottlenecks and target speed. We scope the equipment or color capability against that — with drawings and a scope document before any quotation.
